Small Group Policy
As even the remotest areas become increasingly accessible, travelling in a small group will still enable you to make genuine contact with the local people in circumstances where a larger group might be unwieldy and intrusive.
One of our small groups of 5 on Mera Peak
Our group sizes are kept relatively small and never exceed 12 clients, which ensures that we do not overrun areas that we visit and everyone will easily get to know each other. On many occassion we tend to split into two groups to accommodate the different paces that people often have.(If you are organising a private group the numbers can be flexible and determined by you). For some of the more demanding treks the maximum group size may be as few as six members.
By contrast many of our competitor’s ‘smaller’ groups are as large as 20 or more even though they specify in their brochures that they operate with smaller numbers. We believe that once a group reaches this size there is a greater risk to effective group management and ultimatley their safety. Our group size philosophy minimises our impact on destinations yet allows exposure to new cultures and enhances interaction with the local people more easily whilst always maintaining complete group safety which is our primary concern.
